Work-Trade Scholarships

Because Green Mountain Retreat provides all dining hall support and other basic services, we do not need all participants to sign up for a chore. However, we have important tasks, such as dance floor maintenance, auction setup, and camp setup and strike, for which we need Work-Trade scholarship folks.

Work-Trade Scholarship jobs at Hey Days will include some setup before camp starts and some cleanup on the day of departure. Therefore, you must be able to arrive early to camp and/or stay late on the last day.

During the week of camp, jobs will primarily relate to setting up and tearing down parties and special events such as the auction and gathering, whether in the morning, mid-afternoon, or late night (after the dance). These tasks include: moving chairs and tables; organizing, preparing, and serving snacks and drinks; and cleaning up afterward. Other tasks during the week include sweeping floors, creating dance party posters, and performing unforeseen tasks.

All are eligible to apply for this scholarship, which reduces the registration fee to $1,000 if you stay on campus ($570 for off-site.)

To apply for a Work-Trade Scholarship, complete the Work-Trade Scholarship section of the online registration form found on the registration pageMake sure to include a $250 deposit.
