General Information

We accept only full-time registrants. Campers are generally 18 or older, though we will consider younger applicants if accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated responsible adult.

The full fee of $1,400 includes room, board, and tuition. Participants staying off-site pay a reduced fee of $970, which includes tuition and all meals. There are also a limited number of tent spots available on site for a full fee of $1,040 which includes tuition and all meals.

If the week is oversubscribed on February 19, we will hold a lottery of all applications submitted online or postmarked by February 6. If you pay by check rather than by PayPal, the postmark date of an application is the postmark date on the mail that contains the deposit (or full fee). Beginning February 7, we will consider applications in order of receipt.  

Acceptance notifications and all other correspondence and packets will be sent via the email address from your registration form, unless you specify otherwise.

Any remaining balance is due (received by the registrar) on May 11. You may pay with a check or PayPal. If you pay by check, make sure you mail it in time to be received by the May 11 deadline. Any registrations after May 11 must be paid in full.

Registration Form

NOTE: The registration link below is for 2025. The 2026 registration form will be available when registration opens on January 5, 2026.

Registrations for 2026 will be accepted only electronically. Fill out our online registration and pay online through PayPal (we strongly encourage this option), or choose the option to mail a check. You may pay a deposit of $250 or pay the full amount.

If you wish to pay by check, please mail it at least two weeks before the February 6 deadline to ensure that it arrives in time. Make checks out to BACDS and send to:

Scholarships

Apply for scholarships directly on the application form; there are no additional forms to fill out. You may apply for more than one scholarship. For the best chance of getting the scholarship you want, submit your application by the postmark deadline. We will return your deposit if you don’t receive a scholarship and are therefore unable to attend. Find details at the scholarship portion of our website.

Because Green Mountain Retreat provides all dining hall support and other basic services, we do not need all campers to sign up for a chore. However, we have important tasks, such as dance floor maintenance, snack set up, auction set up, and camp set up and strike, for which we need Work-Trade Scholarship folks. All are eligible to apply for this scholarship. 

Youth Scholarships are available to campers age 18-30. 

The Jude Biggs scholarship is for a talented, aspiring dance musician to attend camp for free. 

We are also pleased to be able to offer several Need-Based Scholarships. You must indicate the amount you need. 

If you don’t need a scholarship yourself, please consider making a donation toward the scholarship fund (to help make camp available to everyone across the economic spectrum) as part of your registration. Make sure to choose Hey Days from the drop-down menu!

COVID-19 Policies

Vaccination: While we recommend that you have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations, it is not required. 

Masking: Masking will be optional at camp. If anyone tests positive at camp, masking may be required for at least 24 hours. (We recommend that you wear masks in any indoor public setting the week prior to camp.)

Testing: We encourage you to take a COVID-19 test 24 to 48 hours prior to arrival at camp, especially if flying. Upon arrival at camp, you must show a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 6 hours. Please bring additional COVID-19 test kits to camp. There may be additional rounds of testing during the week. Rapid antigen, PCR, or NAAT tests may be used for COVID-19 testing.

Cancellation Policy 

Your $250 deposit is non-refundable if you are accepted to camp. No refunds will be given after the final payment deadline of May 11. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel after the deadline.

If you need to cancel, please notify the registrar, Alex Bradley via phone at (301) 789-5425 or via email at bacdsheydaysreg@gmail.com as soon as possible. Your cancellation may allow someone else to attend camp. Please note that your cancellation is not confirmed until the registrar has spoken with you or replied to your email.
